“This season is all about brights—orange, pink, yellow,” says celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff. “I’m loving little pops of color. A bright lip, a swipe of vivid pastel on the lids or a bold stroke of liner in an unexpected shape. Glowing, healthy skin is always in vogue.” Her advice on how to make trends more wearable? “Simplify the rest of your makeup. With the focus on one bold element, it’s less scary to experiment.” Dubroff’s beauty icons include Sophia Loren, Christy Turlington Burns and Kate Bosworth, “but I also like to look at the person in front of me and see the icon in them.”  Makeup kit essentials: Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm in Juicy Papaya: “A beautiful bright orange that feels great on the lips.” Milk Makeup Blur Stick: “To mattify parts of the face that need to be matte and poreless.” Chantecaille Faux Cils Mascara: “I love big lashes in summer.”
