Photographer Gray Malin recreates the golden age of The Beverly Hills Hotel in a new series
“My goal was to capture the spirit of the property,” says Gray Malin of his latest fine art series “Gray Malin at The Beverly Hills Hotel.” Naturally, the West Hollywood-based photographer chose to focus on the property’s golden age, where the grounds served as a haunt for the Rat Pack and as a location for films starring silver screen legends such as Marilyn Monroe. One of the rare occasions in which Malin used props, models and planned sets—Malin is best known for aerial photographs of colorful beach scenes—the three-day production resulted in a 36-shot collection celebrating the landmark. From Oct. 15 through Oct. 26, a selection of the images can be found lining the walls of the red-carpet entry. 9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-276-2251; graymalin.com.
