The Hollywood Roosevelt kicks off poolside movie nights
Summer may officially be over, but there’s no sign of a cool change at The Hollywood Roosevelt, which is diving into its Endless Summer series. Continuing through October, the legendary hotel—a Tinseltown stalwart since 1929—is showing a series of classic throwback films alongside its iconic Tropicana Pool, a nod as much to the industry that lures countless guests through its doors on Hollywood Boulevard, as it is to the idyllic climate that affords Angelenos year-round access to outdoor activities. The weekly Tuesday evening series offers its guests and audience a dedicated menu and drink list inspired by the featured film and its characters. Grab a seat, order the Randy chilled green bean salad and relive the pink-clad culture of California in the ’80s with Valley Girl on Sept. 19, or catch The Beach on Oct. 3 and transport yourself to Thailand while enjoying The Sal—steamed sticky rice, coconut milk, and shiitake mushrooms. Kick back with a cocktail in hand and enjoy the show. 7000 Hollywood Blvd, L.A., 323-856-1970; thehollywoodroosevelt.com.
