Cantor Arts Center Opens “Ink Worlds”
Chinese calligraphy and ink painting are treated to a contemporary dress down in “Ink Worlds: Contemporary Chinese Painting from the Collection of Akiko Yamazaki and Jerry Yang,” at the Cantor Arts Center. Culled from the collection of the Yahoo! co-founder and his wife, post-1959 works of art display how historical techniques and themes continue to be mined for maximum impact. May 23-Sept. 3. Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, 328 Lomita Dr., Stanford, 650-723-4177; museum.stanford.edu.
