Interior designer Yaél Putterman Zadok wants to shake up the home-style scene in low-key Ross.
Her inaugural Marin County boutique, Yaél Studio, showcases her signature sleek architectural interiors. “I’m a purist and a modernist—but always with soul and sensuality,” says Israel-born Putterman Zadok, whose background in fashion merchandising and event styling informs her luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects, from Jerusalem to Palo Alto. Offerings range from streamlined Italian sofas and clear Lucite chairs to statement pieces including Tom Dixon’s copper serving trays, Max Lamb’s handcrafted matte-white bone china and Felicia Ferrone’s elegant glassware. “Ross is charming and traditional,” she says. “And with fresh ideas I hope to write a new design story.” 3 Ross Common, Ross, 415-885-9806; yaelstudio.com. • DIANE DORRANS SAEKS
