Based in Mill Valley, the founders of The Grand Meringue source local ingredients to create their confections. Traditional flavors like lemon coconut and chocolate hazelnut are popular choices for brides, but Ryvin and Friedman don’t shy away from bolder offerings like smoky honey habanero and chocolate. The busy bakers also offer the Grand Mess, a twist on the classic English dessert Eton Mess—an assortment of meringues piled high with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
