L.A.-based model (and mom) Lily Aldridge tools around town in her debut collection
Lily Aldridge graced the cover of Vogue when she was just 17, is a Victoria’s Secret regular and has been the face of Culver City-based Velvet by Graham & Spencer for eight years. This month, the Angeleno presents her first collection, Lily Aldridge for Velvet. The soft cotton tees, dresses, sweaters and outerwear are each named after a close friend or relative—like the Ruby military jacket for her sister (who also models for the label) and the long, floral Dixie dress (for her nine-month-old daughter with Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill). “I imagine going to Malibu in the summer wearing that dress,” she says. The Chateau Marmont shoot location is a beloved locale: “I have been going there since I was a young girl. It’s so effortlessly cool and chic.” A few other must stops for the mom on the go: Tracey Cunningham’s new salon, Mèche (C What’s Hot, p.76). “She has been doing my color since I was 14. She’s a genius.” And, like any self-respecting Cali-girl, driving PCH to take in the view. velvet-tees.com.
