Kate Spade New York delivers a love letter to the Empire State
In partnership with Kate Spade
The new Holiday 2018 collection from Kate Spade New York proves home really is where the heart is. Spanning ready-to-wear garments, jewelry, handbags, shoes, tech accessories and more, the line takes inspiration from the Big Apple, with nods to the city woven throughout. Uptown glamour, for instance, takes form in the Madison Avenue series’ faux furs, satin crepes, sequins and silk, while Brooklyn’s more eclectic vibe inspires pieces such as a velvet puffer and a metallic gold pleated skirt that pairs perfectly with a chunky knit sweater. Meanwhile, a menswear-inspired pink pantsuit, kitten heels, versatile athleisure staples and a newspaper-print clutch pay homage to the hustle and bustle of downtown.
The collection—which is rooted in prints and painterly palettes that stay true to the playful ethos of the brand’s late, great namesake designer—aptly wraps up Kate Spade New York’s 25th anniversary year while ushering in a new era: Creative Director Nicola Glass’ inaugural collection for the brand will hit stores early next year. katespade.com.
