St. Helena’s Ink House beckons for the ultimate wine country stay
Known for translating old-world vino to their modern brand of fine Napa wines, the Castellucci family is delving further into hospitality with The Ink House, sited in a former bed-and-breakfast in St. Helena, built in 1885 on the historic Helios Ranch property. Its four bedrooms have been updated for the ultimate wine country experience, complete with personal maître d’étage services and access to a chauffeured Bentley for excursions. “We have taken those intangible feelings of luxury that excite the senses to create a completely custom, curated experience based on each guest’s desires and expectations, with a touch of our own Italian hospitality,” says proprietor Maria Castellucci. Each room draws design inspiration from the past—including Elvis Presley, who stayed on-site while starring in the 1961 film Wild in the Country. Rates from $1,200. 1575 St. Helena Hwy., St. Helena, 707-968-9686; inkhousenapavalley.com.
