WARNING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS

A scammer has been targeting photographers/videographers individually and through job boards with fake solicitations (example: “Freelance Fashion Photoshoot” with a theme of “Gentlemen’s Exquisite Business Casual”).

The scammer is using the names of current and former photographers for C Magazine in fake email addresses incorporating the domain name “magazinec.net” or “magazinec.co” or a Gmail address. This is an elaborate fraud scheme, entirely unrelated to C Magazine, and we have reported it to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.

WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO RESPOND TO THESE SOLICITATIONS, SIGN ANY RELATED CONTRACT, OR MAKE ANY REQUESTED PAYMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH ANY SUCH CONTRACT.
