Celebrity chefs Nancy Silverton, Aarti Sequeira and others bolstered the organization’s mission to support the health of mothers and their children

On Thursday, Oct. 17, culinary luminaries gathered at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills for the Signature Chefs Auction, a premier charity tasting event in support of March of Dimes and its fight for the health of all mothers and their babies.
Nearly 300 guests, who turned out at the invitation of the evening’s chairs, Mark Owens, Mike Duffy and Tim Duffy, saw the organization present Dominique Crenn — co-owner and chef of San Francisco’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant Atelier Crenn — with the 2019 Mod Icon Award for her promotion of innovation, sustainability and equality in her industry and beyond.
Hosted by Emmy-winning actor Tony Hale, the night brought together 12 of L.A.’s most cutting-edge chefs — including Brooke Williamson, Timothy Hollingsworth, Aarti Sequeira, Phillip Frankland Lee, Sushi Nozawa and Nancy Silverton — to lend their talents to the cause. Guests enjoyed an incredible tasting experience, featuring dishes by the top local establishments, plus a live auction, ultimately raising more than $350,000 in critical funds to benefit the March of Dimes and its mission.
