Party On: Stephanie Booth Shafran and Oscar de la Renta Toast Her New Book

The author celebrated the debut of You’re Invited with a special event at the fashion house’s West Hollywood boutique

On Thursday, March 5, Oscar de la Renta invited select guests to join the team at their Melrose Place boutique in celebration of author Stephanie Booth Shafran’s new title, You’re Invited: Classic, Elegant Entertaining (Rizzoli New York, $50). Friends such as Sela Ward, Zoë de Givenchy and Allison Speer turned out to fete the new tome — which features a foreword by esteemed interior designer Jeffrey Bilhuber and images shot by The Ingalls — and have their custom Oscar de la Renta limited edition signed by the author.

An assemblage of eight parties Shafran has planned and hosted at her home, the book outlines her pointers for successful entertaining, encompassing such elements as menu, linens, florals, place settings and more.
