The contemporary decor and furniture brand’s fashionable ode to life by the sea
In partnership with INTERLUDE HOME
Words by DANIELLE DiMEGLIO
For those looking to bring stylish coastal living into their space, design authority Interlude Home has just the solution. Equally sophisticated and comfortable, the company’s newly launched Coastal Collection of chic contemporary furnishings and textured fabrics is a statement in California cool.
A curated selection of white and neutral furniture—spanning sofas, chairs, accent tables, beds, dressers and bedside chests—were designed to accompany the organic and linear lines of the upholstery collection. You can select from 60 frames and nine fabrics offered in soft and saturated blues and beiges. Think a sultry, curved Gisella chaise in a calming azure twill with shiny brass footing, or a decorative glass table with a wave-like, clear acrylic foundation that’s both functional and eye-catching.

In designing and creating the collection, creative director Wendy King Philips looked to the sea, salt and sand for inspiration. The nods to oceanic beauty are complemented by luxurious, high-style details like sleek lines, mixed materials and brass detailing.
Fashion sense has always been an intimate part of Interlude Home’s aesthetic and, given its ties to the industry, it comes as no surprise. King Philips previously held senior roles at W magazine and Women’s Wear Daily before pursuing her passion for all things home design. Now, alongside her partner in business and in life, Carl Philips, the owner of Interlude Home, she lends her curatorial eye to interiors that invokes a runway appeal.
Since first launching in 1969, the Connecticut-based decor and furniture label has expanded with showrooms in major design hubs like Los Angeles, New York and Miami. The Beverly Boulevard space in the heart of West Hollywood beckons with 2,500-square-feet of interior eye candy.
