Kicking up sand in the Mojave Desert, model Victoria Brito showcases the looks we want for winter

On a typical hundred-degree summer day in the superlatively photogenic dry lake beds of Southern California, the intrepid C Magazine team parked a motorhome in the sweltering heat and unpacked trunks bursting with the coolest looks of the season.
The new normal is a very minimal photoshoot crew, armed with masks and gloves and keeping a social distance, but none of the exhilaration of pre-COVID-19 days was missing upon seeing our model work the drama of a superb, slashed shearling coat from Bottega Veneta, or pose in a sexy, monochrome psychedelic catsuit created by Richard Quinn for Moncler, and peel on the slickest latex pants from Saint Laurent — no easy feat in that heat!
The world is changing, the fashion industry is changing, but amazing creativity is still all around us, as we find inspiration in both style and nature.
