The Italian house invited a slew of friends to its Mare collection pop-up at Little Beach House

Just as high summer arrived, Giorgio Armani brought its Mare designs, which are inspired by life along the Italian coast, to Little Beach House Malibu and threw a cocktail party for an array of in-town guests who gathered for drinks and dancing on Tuesday, July 16. The airy new ready-to-wear designs in linen and brushed cotton, accessories in leather and raffia, a beauty counter with sun-kissed summer shades, and newly launched solid teak outdoor furniture arrived on the California coast after a tour that began in Trani, Italy, and moved to Sardinia and Tuscany before landing in Tokyo and Sylt. As waves of water pounded the wooden posts below, Henry and Liv Lo Golding, Max Minghella, Scott Speedman, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, Christopher Briney, Lili Reinhart, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell, Camila Mendes, Chase Stokes, Ariana Greenblatt, Lauren Wasser, Cameron Brink, Édgar Ramírez, and Michael Evans Behling assembled on the outdoor terrace to chat about vacations past and forthcoming and to get a look at the neutral-hued resort-ready collection set to be reinstalled at the house’s Beverly Hills boutique through August.
As Allie Teilz spun tracks on the terrace, guests got a look at racks of silk dresses, linen trousers and jackets, cotton and cashmere sweaters, terry ponchos, hemp jumpsuits, navy swimsuits, cloche hats, and leather sandals, plus single-breasted jacquard jackets and single-pleat jacquard trousers in shades of blue, turquoise, and a host of shoreside neutrals. Armani/Casa outdoor furniture also made its stateside debut at the party. A solid teak Terence sofa and matching armchair — along with the line’s Thomas dining table, Turner and Terry side tables, and Thelma folding armchair (and, of course, the Timothy sunlounger with cushions upholstered in jacquard fabric) — rounded out the house’s Malibu takeover and proved to be the ideal perch for watching the sun set over the Pacific.
