Having popped up in July in Summerland, the California concept store by C Magazine is taking residency up the road in three times the space

After the July pop-up at The Well Summerland went so swimmingly, C Magazine’s concept store for California brands has decided to stay on the Santa Barbara shores a little longer. Studio C is now open seven days a week at Montecito Country Mart.

The Studio C concept is a first for California, bringing together the most talented artisans and forward-thinking brands plying their trades in The Golden State. And having spent 15 years covering West Coast creatives and entrepreneurs, no one is in a better position than the editors of C Magazine to curate such a unique collection.

Inside the sleek store, you will find fashion from Rodarte, Greg Lauren and Brock Collection; sunglasses by Hoorsenbuhs and Chrome Hearts; hats by Nick Fouquet and Teressa Foglia; cult beauty products by Vintner’s Daughter; and candles by Flamingo Estate Organics. Discover an edit of clothing, design, accessories and jewelry unlike any other.

At 1,150 square feet, the store is three times the size of C’s former pop-up, located at The Well Summerland. Within the walls of the new shop at Montecito Country Mart, there is a micro-gallery, featuring the work of local photographer Dewey Nicks, who has contributed to C and Santa Barbara magazines, as well as to Vogue and Architectural Digest. The new store was outfitted by The Well’s Shane Brown, founder of Big Daddy’s Antiques in Los Angeles, which services the interiors and landscaping needs of Beverly Hills and beyond.

Every week there will be new deliveries arriving, and our trunk show calendar kicks off Aug. 22 with Venice-based milliner Nick Fouquet, who designed for Givenchy earlier this year and counts Gigi Hadid and Pharrell Williams as clients. He will be joined by Brock Collection founders Laura Vassar and Kristopher Brock, the 2016 winners of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, as they debut their handshaped surfboards.
