No detail has been overlooked when it comes to the luxury cruise company’s magnificent vessel
In Partnership With MSC CRUISES
The luxury travel vessel MSC Meraviglia — named for the Italian word for “wonder” — has made her inaugural visit stateside and is ready to prove to a new set of travelers that the moniker given to her by MSC Cruises certainly does her justice.
With a double occupancy capacity of nearly 4,500, the ship is the company’s largest sailing from the United States. Featuring glamorous interiors, a two-story Mediterranean-style promenade and around-the-clock entertainment, she leaves guests wanting for nothing during their stay. In addition to six different full-scale theatrical productions every night in the main theater, there are also two distinct Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows (Viaggio and Sonor) created exclusively for MSC Meraviglia in a purpose-built entertainment and dining venue called the Carousel Lounge.
Families will also appreciate the winter-themed aquatic park with four water slides, a Himalayan bridge suspending cruisers high above the deck, an interactive X-D cinema, two full-size bowling lanes and multiple LEGO-designed kids’ clubs.
During downtime, explore a plethora of unique shops and enjoy such specialty restaurants as Hola! Tapas Bar, Ocean Cay (both by two-Michelin-starred Spanish chef Ramón Freixa) and the Jean-Philippe Chocolat & Cafe (an open-fronted chocolate atelier by world-renowned pastry chef Jean Philippe Maury).
Make your stay extra private with a reservation through the MSC Yacht Club, MSC Cruises’ all-inclusive, “ship within a ship” concept, which features private amenities and 24-hour butler service. And no matter how you book your accommodations, you will get to enjoy the company’s newly launched partnership with lifestyle expert Martha Stewart, which extends to surprise gift packages, special holiday dinner menus, uniquely curated shore excursions and more.
“We are so thrilled to welcome MSC Meraviglia, a truly beautiful ship, to the U.S. as she marks another major milestone for [the cruise line] in the North American market,” says Ken Muskat, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer in the states. “Due to significant demand, for the first time in MSC Cruises history, we now have four distinct ships sailing in the region as MSC Meraviglia joins MSC Seaside, MSC Armonia and MSC Divina. With each ship offering its own unique design and guest experience inspired by our European heritage, we look forward to providing travelers with even more choice and variety to best fit their vacation needs.”
From Nov. 10 through April 5, 2020, MSC Meraviglia will sail two different seven-night western Caribbean itineraries (from $319 per person), visiting ports in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Belize, Honduras and the Bahamas. Best yet — the MSC Meraviglia will be one of the first vessels to dock at the company’s brand-new private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, where guests can soak up the spirit of the Bahamas.
