No need to conceal this season’s lingerie-inspired looks — they were made to be seen. Underwear as outerwear has long been an inspiration in styling, and there are some perfect pieces right now to complement any wardrobe. Alexander Wang, always a fan of this trend, sent the perfect satin slip dress down the runway. Both Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim (at Oscar de la Renta) and Riccardo Tisci (at Burberry) modernized the classic corset dress in their own signature ways. And Vera Wang used intricate layers of silks, velvets and tulle to create a look reminiscent of a vintage trousseau. The results: A beautiful and not so dangerous liaison.
