We’re so happy to be back in the ocean that we are dressing like it

There is something so calming and peaceful about shades of blue, the perfect respite to the current situation. Perhaps it’s the connotations of skies and oceans, the natural elements, that make even the most decadent of fashion pieces seem real and attainable. From an intricately beaded clutch at Alexander McQueen to the clever artistry in Balmain’s marbled wedges, these azure things feel good right now and are the perfect complements to the tones seen all over the catwalk this spring, which featured diaphanous chiffon at Alberta Ferretti and Etro; pleats and seams at Lanvin and Maxmara; and relaxed, cool draping from Tom Ford and Stella McCartney. Blue is making waves in all the best possible ways.
