Party On: Nick Fouquet Debuts His New Venice Shop Brimming With Style

Hats off to the milliner and his Abbot Kinney comeback

Words by ANUSH J. BENLIYAN

Hatmaker and designer Nick Fouquet — the celebrity favorite known for his luxe wide-brim fedoras and trademark matchstick detail — marked the opening of his new Abbot Kinney store with an intimate party on Thursday, Aug. 29.

L.A. tastemakers gathered at the new outpost to sip cocktails, mingle with the milliner and celebrate his return to the iconic stretch of Venice, where he originally opened his eponymous hat shop in 2013 before its first relocation to Lincoln Boulevard three years ago.

At the spacious new boutique, partygoers had the opportunity to shop Fouquet’s latest collection and get fitted for one of his coveted custom hats. Among the attendees were Monet Mazur, Langley Fox, Jonathan dos Santos and Natalie Joos.
