The Italian house held an intimate dinner to launch its latest innovative cashmere designs

Loro Piana brought its knitted cashmere Cocooning collections to Malibu for a beachside dinner at a private villa on Tuesday, October 10. The fall/winter 2023 designs, meant to envelop the body in warmth amid the changing seasons, now include men’s looks in addition to new relaxed silhouettes for women. The garments adhere to a natural color palette and are created with cashmere yarn that’s soft to the touch and meant to evoke a warm embrace or the feeling of Malibu’s winter sun. Sofia Richie Grainge, Dree Hemingway, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Olivia Holt, Rainey Qualley, Jasmine Tookes, Felix Mallard, Gavin Casalegno, Madelaine Petsch, Alika Mock, Michael February, Larsen Thompson, Olivia Perez, CeCe Vu, and Mandy Madden Kelley all joined Loro Piana’s Matthieu Garnier to take in a meditative sound bath meant to expand an all-encompassing feeling of calm amid the background rhythm of rolling waves.
Guests got a first look at scarves, socks, leg warmers, stoles, T-shirts, slippers and booties, shorts, and shrugs alongside crewneck sweaters, jumpsuits, sweats, dresses, cardigans, and throws all crafted in soft Aircash cashmere yarn combined with cotton and wool, cashmere jersey, knitted Cashmere Fleece or Cashfur, a responsible blend of cashmere and silk yarn. All the designs were created with comfort in mind, but also a refined fit equal to the house’s ready-to-wear collections. As the sun set beyond the crescent-shaped beach, singer-songwriter Aidan Bissett was on hand for a fireside live performance, and chef Yann Nury plated a multicourse dinner.
