The luxury label turned the beach into a runway and channeled laid-back rock ’n’ roll vibes
On the evening of Thursday, June 6, the house of Saint Laurent brought French style to Malibu for its Men’s Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show, drawing such notable guests as Keanu Reeves, Amber Heard, and Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
Anthony Vaccarello, creative fashion director for Yves Saint Laurent, sent his models down the shoreline-adjacent runway in looks inspired by the irreverent allure of Mick Jagger and the Parisian nonchalance of Serge Gainsbourg.
Set against the backdrop of a moody sky, the collection’s details and colors — captured from the legendary 1975 concert tour of the Rolling Stones — captivated attendees such as Karl Glusman, Laura Dern, Harris Dickinson, Anja Rubik, and Salma Hayek and Francois Pinault. At the show’s conclusion, VIPs decamped from Paradise Cove to Soho House for the afterparty, where the merriment continued long into the night.
