Party On: Veronica Beard Designers Open the Doors to Two More West Coast Locations

In other words, this designing duo has been pretty busy lately

Known lovingly in the fashion world as the “Veronicas,” sisters Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard sure have had a busy spring. In the last two months they’ve opened two boutiques, bringing their store count up to seven stateside.

On the heels of a Melrose Place boutique last year, they opened a second L.A. location in the Pacific Palisades in April, counting Vince and Alo Yoga as neighbors. The 1,000-square-foot space was designed by friend and interior designer Carolina de Neufville and is a nod to its seaside locale — think bamboo furnishings by Paul Frankel, vintage surfboards and batik fabrics. To celebrate the opening, friends and co-hosts Nyakio Grieco, Katie Lee and Candace Nelson joined guests such as Awkwafina, Jordana Brewster and Cobie Smulders for a night of shopping and cocktails. A smaller group finished off the night nearby with a sitdown dinner at The Draycott.

The sisters-in-law then headed up the coast to S.F. just a few days later to open their Fillmore Street location on May 1. The invite list included everyone from Vanessa Getty and Alison Pincus to Anh Sundstrom, who sifted through racks of silk chiffon minidresses and the label’s signature Dickey jackets while DJ Dojah provided a lively soundtrack.
