Foundational archival designs inspiring the Italian jeweler’s launch were on view at the new boutique’s inaugural party

Bulgari notched up the glamour for the initial chapter launch of its Eternal collection with a rooftop debut at its new Rodeo Drive flagship on Thursday, January 15. The Vimini pieces, drawing inspiration from a bracelet designed in 1942 that became one of the house’s cornerstones, had a first spin through Beverly Hills on the arms of Maude Apatow and Ryan Destiny, who also donned some of the earrings, rings, and necklaces with rhomboid shapes from the collection.

The archival piece, drawing on industrial designs of the era and also evoking the ancient art of woven willow branches (vimini is wicker in Italian), sat with other heritage pieces on the second floor of the newly reimagined boutique alongside modular standout designs from the 1980s and ‘90s. The exhibition of innovative gold pieces, on view through February 22, gave guests a look at the house’s bold signatures and how they continue to develop before they arrived on the boutique’s roof deck for celebratory DJ sets.

On hand as Kim Gordon and Kaytranada ran the turntables were Dree Hemingway, Paris Jackson, Phoebe Dynevor, Joshua Jackson, Rudy Pankow, Chiara Aurelia, Isabela Merced, Eli Roth, Lauren Wasser, and many more. Guests got a look at vignettes filled with classic house collections, and the masterwork of the metalsmiths whose innovative pieces inspired by archival roots had a worldwide debut under the night skies.
