The French house’s pink-and-gray pop-up arrives poolside at the beloved Sunset Boulevard retreat

With undulating tan walls evoking sculpted sand, Book Totes, bracelets and bodysuits bearing Beverly Hills monikers, and yards of blush-hued toile de Jouy covering chaise lounges encircling The Beverly Hills Hotel’s pool, the famously pink-hued retreat itself seems bathed in rose-colored light as a result of the addition — through September 4 — of a Dioriviera pop-up. The shop itself, stocked with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s pink-and-gray resort capsule, includes bikinis, caftans, dresses, miniskirts, and all manner of summer-ready accessories: hats, visors, scarves, sandals, water bottles, bocce sets, beach chairs, and towels. Even the umbrellas, sun shades, and curtained cabanas set underneath the hotel’s towering palms are lined with the flora-and-fawna-inspired toile reinterpreted by Chiuri; the fabric adorns throw pillows and blankets throughout the sprawling pool deck.
Surfboards line the Mediterranean-style hotel’s cabanas, with local breaks only a short drive down Sunset Boulevard. Indeed, the temporary spot, with similar sister locations in Bali, Malaysia, and Kyoto, evokes the beaches along California’s Pacific Coast with sand-covered sculptures of Lady Dior bags — leather and hand-woven wicker versions are housed nearby — plus giant giraffes, tigers, lions, and shade-rich trees with leafy branches also molded with the same sandcastle-like effect.
The ephemeral shop’s poolside perch also houses Dior’s Le Jardins des Rêves spa cabana — complete with toile de Jouy–covered skylights — and its menu of exclusive treatments. An antioxidant facial L’Or de Vie Miracle and a regenerative version, Prestige Haute Precision, as well as two types of massages, a firming New Look Body treatment, and a relaxation-inducing Constellation Body iteration are on offer by appointment. No rose-colored glasses required. 9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-887-2006; firstname.lastname@example.org.
