EL ENCANTO celebrates Santa Barbara’s early architecture. Fusing California Craftsman and Spanish Colonial, this iconic retreat reflects 1920s style coupled with splashes of modern artistry. Work from local artist CHARLES ARNOLDI adds extra drama to your stay.

Perched above the Santa Barbara coastline, there’s no better or more expansive view of the region’s magical coastline than from the El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel. Long a haven for those looking to retreat into luxury, the property has always been known for its 92 oversized guest accommodations, stunning grounds that spread out among seven acres and elevated culinary offerings. Now there’s even more reason to enjoy the property. From April 18 through 20, the award-winning resort will co-host its famed Taste of El Encanto event with Domaine Chandon, the sparkling-wine Maison of LVMH, which was founded in 1959 by Robert-Jean de Vogüé and now operates wineries throughout California, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, China and India.

The TASTE OF EL ENCANTO, CHANDON EXPERIENCE invites guests to be among the first to enjoy the new release of the iconic California sparkling wine debuting a beautifully refreshed brand identity, while participating in an array of engaging programming.

The event — the first of a four-part series — will feature exclusive new releases from Chandon as well as extravagant dinners from El Encanto’s Executive Chef Bruno Lopez. Domaine Chandon Head Winemaker, Pauline Lhote, who began her career in Champagne, France before overseeing Domaine Chandon in Yountville, will lead the tasting experiences, highlighting new releases of Chandon’s California sparkling wines. Guests will also have access to Chandon’s Rose Escape Tasting Room pop-up, Chandon-inspired spa treatments, a curated cocktail kit, decadent in-room breakfasts and more.

Gaze out across the Pacific while soaking up the sun in our lavish zero-edge swimming pool. It’s the perfect setting to unwind and acclimatize to EL ENCANTO’s easygoing lifestyle.

Beyond the exclusive culinary and wine offerings, guests are also able to enjoy the property’s private, infinity-edge pool, nearby hiking trails, complimentary e-bikes, and of course the city’s other attractions, from the boutiques in nearby Montecito to the wine tasting rooms of the Funk Zone and the historic Spanish-inspired architecture that defines the city. Individual tickets for the Chef’s Dinner with Chandon Brand Ambassador, Brian Fairleigh, on April 18, and the winemakers dinner experience led by Domaine Chandon Head Winemaker, Pauline Lhote on April 19 are available through our Concierge Team, concierge.ele@belmond.com. Limited seats are available.
