Bulgari Turns to Tokyo Street Style for a New Collaboration
Bulgari has tapped Yoon, the creative mind behind Japanese label Ambush, for a line of leather bags and accessories. An extension of “Serpenti Through the eyes of,” a series of collaborations originally launched in 2017, the latest installment offers a vibrant point of view using the Roman fashion house’s iconic Serpenti snake. “For this capsule collection I wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti,” Yoon explains. “Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature, but with Bulgari they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution.” The collection includes three new styles, from an interpretation of the enduringly glamorous Serpenti Forever shoulder bag to a versatile, hands-free belt bag, each offered in neon hues that reference the designers’ Tokyo style. To launch the collection, the brand cast California native Bella Hadid alongside models Xio Wen and Ellen Rosa for a digital campaign photographed by Tyler Mitchell. The limited-edition collection is now available for preorder.

#MOCAmasks Feature International Designers and Californian Artists
“Wearing a mask communicates that you’re mindful of protecting others, your community and yourself,” explains MOCA Director Klaus Biesenbach. To that end, Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art unveiled its face mask project, #MOCAmasks — a line of limited-production face coverings featuring the art of nine internationally acclaimed artists, four of which have roots in California — with the goal of keeping people safe and raising funds for the museum. Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh offers up a black-and-white option featuring the designer’s signature quotations while L.A.-based artist Alex Israel has designed a mask rendered in a palette that resembles a cotton candy sunset. Barbara Kruger and Hank Willis Thomas don’t mince words with their contributions — each artist’s work comes in a bright shade of red, with Kruger’s reading “Better Safe Than Sorry” while Willis Thomas’ reads “Life, Handle with Care.” Masks are available for purchase online for $28.
