Want to channel your inner Bond girl? It’s as easy as slipping into one of the designer’s metallic bikinis

Ten years ago, designer Lisa Marie Fernandez launched her swim label with a neoprene one-piece. Safe to say, she was light-years ahead of fashion’s seemingly always-on sport trend.
On Wednesday, May 15, the designer joined co-hosts artist Donald Robertson and Capitol owner Laura Vinroot Poole, who has been a devout supporter of Fernandez’s designs from the beginning. “No one makes a better fitting, more beautiful holiday wardrobe than Lisa,” points out Vinroot Poole. The event was an all-day affair, kicking off an ice cream social and trunk show with Lisa Marie Fernandez’s latest pieces at the recently opened Capitol x Irene Neuwirth Brentwood boutique.
Guests such as designer Louise Roe, model and actor Dree Hemingway and singer Alexandra Edenborough sifted through racks that included the classic Farrah swimsuit and the Arden double ruffle dress. Meanwhile, artist Donald Robertson whipped up cheeky illustrations of the ladies in their LMF creations to take home.
Just as the sun set, the group headed over to Giorgio Baldi for a private seated dinner where guests enjoyed a classically Northern Italian meal of corn and truffle agnolotti and rigatoni Amatriciana and lingered late into the evening.
