On Saturday, Oct. 26, Gwyneth Paltrow and three-Michelin-starred chef David Kinch hosted Goop by the Beach, an immersive culinary experience centered around the lifestyle brand’s first permanent hotel retail experience, located inside Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort in Montecito. The evening was the third in a series of events by the luxury lifestyle company celebrating unique locales, seasonal fare and the brand’s signature joie de vivre.
Upon arriving at the resort, guests — some of whom were privately chauffeured in spacious SUVs courtesy of Lincoln — were greeted with fresh, fall-inspired mocktails to enjoy while they explored the property and browsed the new Goop sundries store, the brand’s first permanent hotel retail experience, which stocks clean beauty products, wellness goods, athleticwear and resort fashions. Attendees were surprised with gifted glove box kits that were packed with travel-size wellness essentials and personalized with Uma Oils blends.
Following a unique seaside wine tasting by St. Supery Estate Vineyards, the group was whisked away to a private residence, where they mingled with Kinch, who helms New American restaurant Manresa in Los Gatos (and is behind the forthcoming eatery Mentone in Aptos). The chef even signed copies of his book, Manresa: An Edible Reflection, before inviting guests to tuck into local farm-to-table fare — including Santa Barbara sea urchin, local spot prawns, blue corn polenta, and black cod with mushroom and parmigiano risotto — served alfresco.
At the end of the special evening, guests bid farewell to hosts Paltrow and Kinch, departing with Goop beauty essentials, among other gifts.
