Weaving is an ancient skill, but somehow designers are constantly coming up with brilliant and fresh methods to modernize the accessory market. Leading the pack is Daniel Lee from Bottega Veneta, who inherited the brand’s classic statement braided wares and updated them to become fashion’s currently most covetable pieces. All in killer neutral tones, from Lee’s  interlaced puffed-leather mule in lush ivory to Oscar de la Renta’s feminine natural raffia clutch and Salvatore Ferragamo’s subtle woven-soled nude sandal, there are many chic ways to subtly accessorize this season’s craft-inspired trends.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA Oath raffia shoulder bag, $1,490.

BOTTEGA VENETA padded mules, $1,650.
