POINT REYES
Where Centuries-Old Artistry Meets Modern Craftsmanship
Cultures and artistic practices collide as BLUNK SPACE presents Daichiro Shinjo and Jonathan Cross, a dual exhibition showcasing Okinawa-based Shinjo’s latest shodō ink paintings alongside Wonder Valley–based Cross’s new ceramic works. The tête-à-tête of traditional art forms bridges time and distance through material, form, and process. Taught by his grandfather from an early age, Shinjo carries Japanese calligraphy forward through his own expression of organic, rounded, and bold gestures with new works on paper and two large paintings on canvas. Cross, on the other hand, engages in a quiet dialogue with the land by digging his own clay, shaping balanced forms, and firing in a wood kiln in the heart of the Mojave. The result is a selection of everyday objects — plates, platters, planters, and large floor works — that reflect his experimental approach to utility. The joint endeavor is as much a meditative gesture as it is an investigation of tradition and history. Sept. 6–Oct. 18; open Fri.–Sat., 11–5, or by appointment. 1101 CA-1, No. 5, Point Reyes Station; blunkspace.com. D.N.

A Foodie-First Resort Cultivates the Best of Sonoma
Leave it to Michelin-starred chef Charlie Palmer and Christopher Hunsberger, the former North American president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, to conceive APPELLATION HEALDSBURG, a culinary-first, 108-key boutique resort from the pair’s newly formed hotel brand, Appellation. L’AGENCE Voyages Toward Adventure This Fall
Life on the go and the restless spirit of adventure is the inspiration for L’AGENCE’s Fall 25 collection, which is rife with menswear influences on everything from herringbone blazers and trousers to vegan leather skirts and paisley ponchos. Titled Romantic Voyage, the looks — first shown in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall — blend slinky sequin skirts and maxi dresses with evening looks inspired by tuxedos, and practical necessities like trench coats and barrel-leg denim ideal for departure and arrival terminals. Fedoras and croc-embossed belts pull together separates, part of a head-to-toe wardrobe meant to travel from the airport to a gala and from the shore to an alfresco dinner or conference room meeting. Founded by Jeff Rudes and Ron Herman, the line has long been a blend of Southern California ease combined with a refined Parisian nonchalance, and these silhouettes carry the idea forward with paisley, floral, and leopard prints alongside deep-hued tones of brown, port, and black. Fashion director Tara Rudes-Dann points to the allure of adventure as inspiration for looks adorned with buttons, fabrics, and embroideries found amid global destinations that also nod to the line’s expansions abroad. 371 N. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills, 310-356-0422; 8436 Melrose Pl., L.A., 323-546-0321; 3900 Cross Creek Rd., Malibu, 424-644-2248; lagence.com.
