The June nuptials of Tyler Ellis and Benjamin Shriner, who split their time between New York and Ellis’ native L.A., made an enduring sartorial statement.
The daughter of the late designer Perry Ellis called on Raf Simons to create her Dior haute couture gown in Paris, which took almost 1,000 hours to complete. As for Shriner, designer Michael Bastian lined the groom’s tux with a vintage Perry Ellis textile. “It was definitely the most glamorous day of my life. Raf is a true genius,” says Ellis.
