Martin Scorsese Holds Court at Giorgio Armani

Roberta Armani hosted the director, his stars, and a host of creatives in Beverly Hills

Roberta Armani drew a vibrant mix of creatives to the Giorgio Armani boutique in Beverly Hills on Saturday, March 9, when she hosted a packed cocktail party, an Oscars mainstay for more than a decade, in recognition of Martin Scorsese and the multiple Academy Award nominations he received for his latest work, Killers of the Flower Moon. Scorsese was joined by his daughter Francesca and other stars of the Osage Nation–set film, including Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone. Sissy Spacek accompanied husband Jack Fisk who was nominated for production design in the film.

Also inside the boutique, where celebratory cocktails made the rounds and the house’s American collection was on view, Jeffrey Wright, Nicolas Cage, Willem Dafoe, Dan Stevens, Callum Turner, Ramy Youssef, Ke Huy Quan, Christoph Waltz, Billy Zane, Allison Williams, Isabela Merced, Lana Condor, Regé-Jean Page, Olivia Munn and John Mulaney, Tye Sheridan, Kathryn Newton, Mamie Gummer, Josh Dallas, Rebecca Hall, Ginnifer Goodwin, Paris Jackson, Larsen Thompson, Scott Eastwood, Camilla Belle, Mackenzie Foy, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lexi Underwood, Simona Tabasco, and Beatice Grannò gathered.

Upstairs, guests got a look at Armani’s haute couture Privé runway looks, a reminder that more major Oscar parties were ahead and also a nod to the Italian designer and his niece Roberta’s long and influential relationship with Los Angeles. Armani dressed Laker coach Pat Riley in the late 1980s and has since filled the red carpet with Academy Awards guests donning his designs, creating modern gowns and tailored suits for Michelle Pfeiffer, Jodie Foster, Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Jeffrey Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, and Zendaya, whose statuesque frond-printed column at this year’s ceremony brought to mind the palms lining the Rodeo Drive boutique.
