A limited-edition capsule collection of furniture inspired by founder Avi Brosh’s charming vision is launching
Words by DAVID NASH
If you’ve ever stayed at a Palisociety property — whether Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali, or one of its other concepts, like ARRIVE by Palisociety — you likely appreciated the independent hospitality brand’s spirited ethos and eclectic design. Now, thanks to a new furniture offering, you can infuse a bit of that joie de vivre into your own space.
To the delight of aesthetes everywhere, hotelier Avi Brosh has recently unveiled the Palisociety Capsule Collection, a five-piece home furnishings line inspired by custom-designed pieces that bedeck his hotels around the country. The signature pieces not only embody the brand’s playful and thoughtfully detailed aesthetic, but also serve to further its ever-evolving design narrative that has captivated guests since the 2008 debut of Brosh’s first hotel in West Hollywood. The limited-edition pieces — from a Petit Pali–influenced Château Bed to the World Famous Accent Chair that takes its cue from Palihouse Hyde Park Village — are currently on view at Palihotel Melrose in Los Angeles and online.
The collection is available for immediate order with white glove delivery within 20 miles of downtown L.A. — and by personalized shipping beyond — and a portion of proceeds from all sales will be donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department in support of communities impacted by the wildfires earlier this year. Take a first look at these new classics from one of hospitality’s most influential tastemakers.
The Château Bed
Owing its design to the very comfy beds of Le Petit Pali, the demilune-shaped headboard and base of the king-sized Château Bed ($5,000) — with camel-toned plaid and double welt piping and tassel detailing — is upholstered in a Pindler wool blend fabric and accented by Samuel & Sons Le Pilat Bullion Fringe in cream and ivory. Evoking the style of bed often found in French châteaux, this reimagined bedtime retreat is bound to have you sawing logs in style.
Orlando Bedside Tables
Substantial, refined, and utterly utilitarian, the Orlando Bedside Tables ($1,700 per pair) are finely crafted from honed travertine with built-in outlets that include USB-C and USB-A ports. The devil is in the details, and although they appear to be solid pieces of stone with mitered corners, the bedside tables are actually hollow, allowing for ease of movement. Found in the bedrooms of Palihouse West Hollywood, this dynamic duo has the panache your primary or guest bedroom might be missing.
Trusty Dining Chairs
Informed by seating at Le Petit Pali, the Trusty Dining Chairs ($2,500 per pair) are composed of walnut-stained bentwood and upholstered with a high-performance cotton velvet from Schumacher. A cross between a Josef Hoffmann–designed Prague Chair of the 1930s and another with the turn-of-the-century art nouveau styling of Otto Wagner, a set of two, four, or six of these dreamy dining chairs will be sitting pretty in any design-driven environment.
Hollywood Credenza
Combining a medium dark stained walnut wood with an inlaid tempered mirror top and a Flora Soames striped fabric skirt, the Hollywood Credenza ($2,750) is ready for its close-up. This high-style sideboard features four drawers adorned with Forge Hardware knobs in antique brass and two open center shelves ideal for displaying your favorite design books and objets d’art. A fit for the bedroom or any common living space, the chic cabinet originates from Palihotel Hollywood and is as striking as it is utilitarian.
World Famous Accent Chair
With its distinctively curvaceous silhouette completely upholstered in a custom cabana strip fabric, the World Famous Accent Chair ($1,500) is the embodiment of contemporary design and creature comfort. A nod to the seating found within Palihouse Hyde Park Village, the chair has your back with a removable faux down–filled lumbar pillow in a contrasting floral print for extra support. Although having just one might inspire a cozy reading spot, two would be twice as nice for an equally intimate seating arrangement.
